Confident Public Speaking- Preparation

People with the ability of confident public speaking make this next step a must

Step 5 Be Prepared

First off ask yourself "why was I invited to speak." Your presentation should answer this question. Ensure you have the knowledge to answer this question firstly through your own experience and secondly by research.

When new to public speaking it can be a good idea to write out your presentation or speech out word for word, using conversational English. If you are going to read or memorize your speech ensure it flows well. It is much better to prepare a very brief outline. Use this outline to practice your delivery. Like any live performance, practice is invaluable to build confidence when you actually present your speech.

Confident public speaking comes from being carefully prepared and applying yourself.
